Unfortunately none of us in our own works and goodness can make up for all the sin we do and that is innately in us. Jesus came and sacrificed his life for us so we would not have to live with the pain, regret and shame of our sin. All you need to do is recognize that gift and humbly ask Jesus to come in to your life and remove all your sin and past mistakes and make you new again. From there you have a clean slate and according to God it’s like you never did them at all.
Now you get into God’s word and begin to learn about Jesus and how to live a new life without sin. Obviously you will fall because you are human but because of God’s wonderful grace you can get back up again and keep going. Remember that now Jesus is your best friend and your greatest ally and he will be there for you and it’s his will that you live happy and free with strength you never knew before. Trust him now and pray… we’ll wait….
Once you are saved, then what? Where do we go from here? Find a bible based church and start to grow. How do we grow? By sharing with others the blessings God has given us. We were put on the earth for one purpose only; to glorify God in all we do and say and think. GGTG is here to help Christians do more for the purpose of God. There are weekly blogs and daily devotions to help you find your way and to discover how to live your life so that you may be a witness to all who see and give God the glory. Philippians 1:11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation – the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ – for this will bring much GLORY and praise to God. – New Living Translation
